Ingredients:
- 220 g softened butter + a little for greasing
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 and 1/4 cups flour, plus a little extra for working with
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 heaping teaspoon of instant coffee granules
- 240 g chocolate pieces (more to taste!)
- Hot chocolate sauce, for watering
- Caramel sauce, for watering
- Vanilla ice cream
- Whipped cream
- Cocktail cherries
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- Combine butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and instant coffee. Gradually add the dry mixture to the liquid, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Thoroughly grease and flour a 22x32cm baking pan or dish. Pour the dough into the pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until set (or bake longer if necessary). If you doubled the ingredients, bake the cookies for 20–22 minutes.
- Before serving, warm the chocolate and caramel sauces. Place a square cookie slice on a plate, top with a scoop of ice cream, drizzle with chocolate and caramel sauce, and top with whipped cream. Garnish with a cherry.
