Mashed potatoes with skins

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes, cut in half
  • 6 slices turkeys
  • 1 cup of sour milk or yogurt
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 0.5 cup grated sharp cheddar, yellow or white

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the turkey bacon on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until crisp. Cool and chop into pieces.
  2. Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and season with salt. Cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Then drain and mash the potatoes, adding the buttermilk. Season with salt and pepper. Add the green onions, cheddar, and bacon.
