Yogurt ice cream with chocolate topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 240 g dark chocolate granules
- 1.5 cups of 1% milk
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Greek yogurt 2%
Preparation:
- Place chocolate chips in a medium glass bowl.
In a medium saucepan, combine milk, cocoa, sugar, vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Place over medium heat. Stir constantly for 5–7 minutes, until the cocoa is dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil.
Remove the pan from the stove and pour the milk mixture over the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then gently whisk until the chocolate is completely melted. Then stir in the yogurt and let it cool completely.
- Divide the mixture evenly among 8 popsicle molds (about 1/3 cup per mold) and freeze for at least 5 hours (can be frozen for up to a month). Before serving, run the mold under running hot water for a second and remove the ice cream.
