Cranberry relish with pear and orange

Ingredients:

  • 1 small orange
  • 350 g cranberries
  • 1 pear, cored and cut into pieces
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • A pinch of coarse salt
  • 3 tablespoons toasted and chopped pecans

Preparation:

  1. Wash and dry the orange. Slice it, peel and all, into thin wedges and place in a food processor. Add the cranberries, pear, sugar, and salt. Process until the mixture is finely chopped.
  2. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. The relish can be stored for up to 2 days. Before serving, sprinkle with pecans and toss all ingredients together.
