Pepper sauce for steak

Ingredients:

  • 4 grilled red bell peppers, trimmed, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 small red onion, coarsely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp chipotle pepper puree (smoked jalapeño)
  • 1/2 cup canola oil or olive oil

Preparation:

  1. In a blender, combine the roasted bell pepper, onion, garlic, red wine vinegar, honey, mustard, chipotle pepper, salt, and black pepper until smooth. With the blender running, slowly add the oil and blend. Strain the sauce into a bowl.
  2. Note: This classic pepper sauce is great with grilled vegetables, chicken, fish, and steak.
    Exit: 2.5 tbsp.
