Chocolate mousse with marshmallows topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 255 g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
- 1/4 cup hot water (from a recently boiled kettle)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation:
- Place marshmallows, butter, chocolate and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
Place the pan on the stovetop over very low heat until the ingredients melt, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
- Meanwhile, beat the cream with vanilla until it thickens, then mix it with the cooled chocolate mixture until you get a smooth, viscous cream.
Pour the mixture into 4-6 glasses or small bowls and chill before serving. The sooner the better!
