Strawberry-orange smoothie with liqueur topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 8 large strawberries, hulled, halved and frozen
- 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 0.5 tsp orange zest
- 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream
- 1 tbsp. sugar (or more if the berries are sour)
- 2 tbsp. l. orange liqueur
- Orange slices, for serving
Preparation:
- In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, orange juice, and orange zest. Blend until coarsely chopped. Add orange liqueur, frozen yogurt, and sugar.
- Continue blending until smooth and frothy. Divide the smoothie into 4 small glasses, garnish each serving with an orange slice, and serve.
