topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

    Meatballs

  • 700 g of ground beef
  • 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • Lots of ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp. l. rapeseed oil (canola)
  • 0.5 cups premium flour

    Sauce

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 4-6 tbsp chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • A little hot sauce, such as Tabasco

Preparation:

  1. Meatballs:

In a bowl, combine the ground beef and oats. Pour in the milk, then add the onion, salt, and black pepper. Stir to evenly distribute the ingredients. Roll the mixture into balls, using 1 tablespoon at a time, and refrigerate the meatballs for 30-45 minutes to firm up.
  2. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  3. Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Dredge the meatballs in flour, then fry them in batches until golden brown. Once browned, transfer them to a rectangular baking dish.
  4. Sauce:

Combine ketchup, onion, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Pour the sauce evenly over the meatballs.
  5. Bake until meatballs are heated through and sauce begins to simmer, about 45 minutes.
