Ingredients:

  • 1.5 tbsp. chopped oats
  • 0.5 tsp. freshly ground nutmeg
  • 2 very ripe bananas, mashed with a fork
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Special equipment: 6 liter slow cooker.

Preparation:

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, combine the oats, nutmeg, bananas, and cinnamon stick with 7.5 cups of water and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  2. Serve oatmeal with any toppings.
