Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cups low-fat cream
- 4 tablespoons butter
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Preparation:
- Combine the brown sugar, cream, butter, and salt in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Cook, stirring gently, for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Add the vanilla and cook for another minute to thicken further. Turn off the heat, let the caramel sauce cool slightly, and pour into a jar. Cool completely and refrigerate.
