Crab and Avocado Duet

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt + more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • A pinch of white pepper
  • 220 g of natural crab meat
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives

Preparation:

  1. Peel the avocado and cut into 1 cm pieces. In a small bowl, gently toss the avocado pieces with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and salt to taste. In a medium bowl, combine the remaining lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard, a pinch of white pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add the crab meat and toss to combine.
  2. Place an empty 400 ml tin can with the top and bottom cut off on a serving plate. Place a quarter of the avocado in the can. Top with 1/4 of the crab meat and gently press into the can. Carefully remove the can from the avocado and crab mixture. Sprinkle with 0.5 teaspoon of chives. Repeat with the remaining 3 servings and serve.
