Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries with Chili Pepper topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 10 large strawberries
- 170 g bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/8 tsp ground chili powder, such as ancho
Preparation:
- Place the chocolate, cream, and butter in a heatproof bowl. Place it over a pan of simmering water. Make sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl. Stir until the chocolate melts. Add the chili powder and stir until fully incorporated.
- Hold each strawberry by the long stem and dip it in the chocolate, letting any excess drip back into the bowl. Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a parchment- or waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Once the chocolate has cooled, refrigerate the strawberries until completely set, about 30 minutes.
